Getting started is the hardest part

Hi Everyone!
Thanks for visiting my blog. You know, I'm sure once I get a few blogs under my belt I'll probably look back on this first one and think that was a breeze! But to be honest I'm not exactly sure what to write. So, I'll just write about Christmas day.
We had a really good day, long, but really good. We woke up here in Tyler to open gifts. Dallas got a bike, and after every present he kept looking back at his bike and making comments such as, "Oh, I got a BIG bike" or "Wow, that's my bike!" After the paper was shredded and presents were opened, we got ready and headed to Mesquite and Rockwall to visit my family for the day. I love Christmas dinner, and my grandma's pies are amazing! She makes the best homemade crusts, I tried it once, but didn't turn out so great. I just need to keep practicing, so she says. You know, as I've gotten a little older, just turned 30 last week, the more and more I appreciate my family. I'm thankful for my family and what the Lord has given to me through each and everyone. To me, family is THE BEST part about the holiday's, just being with everyone talking about everything and nothing. I'll look back and cherish standing in my grandma's kitchen helping her with dinner and hugging everyone that came in the door. I hope everyone had a great CHRISTmas and has a safe and prosperous new year!
