Oh my little boy Dallas

Lately, Adam has been a pea and cornbread kick. Well, last night I don't know if it was the idea of making it for the 3rd day in a row or actually cooking after working all day, but we decided to change it up and head out ot Cici's for dinner. I couldn't pass up the temptation of not having to do any dishes or stand over the oven and cook, I'm sure you can relate to that. Now, dont' get me wrong I love peas and cornbread, I'm definately a southern girl at heart, but just wanted something different.
Everything was normal as we ate, until a guy with a long white beard walked in with his wife. Dallas stood up in the seat and yelled, "Look, it's Noah!"
At first, I thought he was talking about his little friend Noah, that we knew when we lived in Lewisville, but as I turned around I realized Dallas was talking about Noah in the Bible (and of course it doesn't help that he's seen the movie Evan Almighty). It was one of those moments that you always hear other moms and dads talking about, but haven't experienced yourself yet. Anyways, I don't think anyone heard him, of course I don't know how they couldn't, people were surrounding us. A moment as a parent I won't be forgetting any time soon!

New Year's Eve

Here's me and Dallas 12.31.07. Dallas loves his basketball jersey.

Dallas loves his Daddy.

Our 5th New Year's Eve together.

We all went outside and played with sparklers, man it was cold that night! I remember as a kid for 4th or July and New Year's Eve we always had sparklers. Good times! Now Dallas and Eden can start creating those memories too.

Eden and Dallas playing with sparklers.

Isn't this picture cool?! He had so much fun!

Dallas and Eden eating dinner together. Whenever she comes over, I put his table in the kitchen and they eat together on it.

Eden and Dallas playing with his Christmas game, Elefun. What a cute game. It's getting later and we're all getting more sleepy!

New Year's Eve Amanda, Ken, and Eden came over to our house. We all ate dinner together, played games ( by the way, Who's Smarter Than a 5th Grader? is a really fun game), played with sparklers, drank bubbly, and brought in the new year together. Good times!

Who's got your vote?

I was laughing at myself the other day, growing up, I hated talk radio. Now, those are the first stations I look for. Rarely do I listen to music, unless it's The Chipmunk Christmas or The Wiggles...haha. Who knew tonight that I'd look forward to watching "The New Hampshire Debates?!" What is it with age/maturity that people start having interest in these kinds of thing? With postive influence from Adam and from my own conviction, I've taken a huge interest in politics, and in voting for the candidate that I think that will not only honor the American people, but will also honor God. I really like Huckabee and hope he continues to do well..., but regardless of who your vote is for in the primary or for this fall, to all of you reading this, I really pray that you are following the candidates and their convictions and praying for our country for God's favor and mercy and guidance. Blessings for your New Year!
