A Few Pics from the past 4 years

4 Years Old

Today, July 31st, is my baby's 4th birthday. He's grown up so much and he's brought so much joy to our lives. We're very thankful and blessed to have Dallas as our son. Here are a few pics and videos of him throughout the years.

Dallas' 4th Birthday Pary

Dallas had his 4th Birthday on Sat at the Putt Putt place. Unfortunately he was a sick, and we ended up taking him to the ER on Sunday morning, per the request of the pediatric on-call nurse. Results concluded that he had a bacterial infection, and is now on antibiotics and doing a TON better. I say all that to say he's not his usual bright and cheery self in most of the pics. He still had fun, but not very energetic.
Here are a few pics...

Praying for God's Perfect Timing

A lot has transpired since I last blogged...but in a nutshell, I am looking at starting my practice. Not really sure of exact timing at this point, but both Adam and I feel feel very peaceful about me starting this. It's no coincidence that God brought us to Tyler, and that the church we just joined wants to start a counseling minsitry. I've been praying about this for so long! I'm so ready to get back to what I love doing so much.
This past year has been such a struggle in my heart, mostly because I've been unhappy about my job. God has been teaching me a lot about His timing and has lovingly given me a daily dose that He is Sovereign over ALL things. Why is this trust so difficult for me? I couldn't really answer that, other than to say my flesh just fights it, CONSTANTLY!!! I guess, that fight will be complete when I'm with the Lord, until then, I'll just daily give it to Him.
I've been praying a lot for hope, hope that I can start counseling again. He's started to retore this to me in the last 2 weeks, and I'm really thankful.
Also, I have to brag on my hubby! He's been so supportive of me and my dream. He's really been a constant for me and I'm so thankful to have him.
Before I got married, never really knew the meaning of "in good and bad" (how could I really?), ...but it's true, I'd rather be going through the good and bad with him. This has been a rough year...but very thankful God has given Adam to me to help me walk through it.

I'm in love

Since having Dallas, all I really crave anymore is sour and tart food/snacks/drinks..whatever! I'm a total addict of the Cherry Limeade's from Braums. We have 2 fairly close by, lucky me! Anyways, we ate there last night, and I dont' usually get ice cream, but when I saw they had Cherry Limeade Sherbert, I had to try. That is the BEST stuff!!!!!!!!!! If your ever at braums, and you're in the mood, it won't diappoint. Yummy!!!!!!!!

July 4th Weekend

First of all, I'd like to congratulate my cousin Angela for the delivery of Jaxon, a healthy 8 lb 4oz little boy, and to Shannon, one of my best friends since High School for the delivery of Piper, a healthy 8 lb 12 oz little girl. Both mommies are doing good, but I'm sure getting tired by now. Shannon's blog spot is to the right of this post/ Mathis Family / if you'd like to see some pics.

For the 4th we drove out to LA (that's Louisiana, not California) to visit with Adam's family. Dallas swam, played with the wagon, ate, swam, played with the wagon, ate, swam, played with the wagon....do you sense a pattern here?! It was fun, we had a good time, just relaxing and visiting. Here are a few photos...
