Valentine
I remember being in elementary and making Valentine's for everyone in my class. Ah the memories. Although Dallas has given Valentines each year he has been in school, this year he was much more engaged. It was a lot of fun letting him pick out each card for his friends and watching him get excited about the thought of giving them out tomorrow. Sweet.
Here are Dallas' Valentine's for his school friends.

Friends
Only counting since we've been married, Tyler makes the 5th place we've lived in almost 6 years of marrige. I'm so tired of moving...sigh. It's been kind of lonely at times. I've met some really great friends along the way, but it has been rather hard with this move to really get to know people. My job keeps me kind of isolated, so I haven't met anyone really. Of course I'm close to Amanda so we spend a lot of time together, it's been really good to have Eden close to Dallas too for a playmate. I think beside her and Ken, Adam and I have been rather isolated and haven't really met many people we would consider to be friends. We've been really praying about it, just to meet some Godly Christian couples to hang out with and spend time getting to know, it seems each place we move we have met these kind of people. And as of the past month, Tyler has been no different. We have been visiting Bethel Bible, and I think the first thing we both noticed about them was EVERYONE was very friendly. I've joined a women's bible study, and in addition to church and SS, Adam and I have been visiting a home group, the hosts lee and donna are just super friendly and warm. Everyone there has made us feel welcomed. It's good to be around people with genuine hearts, and I'm really thankful that God has given us a new family to " do life with."
This morning I went to the doctor. I've been having some pain in my arm and wrists/palms. It isn't carpal tunnel, but the doctor suspects some increased amt of pressure has affected my nerve around my ulna. I've been having some numbness and tingling in my ring and pinky finger...she prescribed some steroids for anti inflammatory purposes. Just trying to keep as much pressure off of it as possible. Well see how this tx goes...

Oh my little boy Dallas
Lately, Adam has been a pea and cornbread kick. Well, last night I don't know if it was the idea of making it for the 3rd day in a row or actually cooking after working all day, but we decided to change it up and head out ot Cici's for dinner. I couldn't pass up the temptation of not having to do any dishes or stand over the oven and cook, I'm sure you can relate to that. Now, dont' get me wrong I love peas and cornbread, I'm definately a southern girl at heart, but just wanted something different.
Everything was normal as we ate, until a guy with a long white beard walked in with his wife. Dallas stood up in the seat and yelled, "Look, it's Noah!"
At first, I thought he was talking about his little friend Noah, that we knew when we lived in Lewisville, but as I turned around I realized Dallas was talking about Noah in the Bible (and of course it doesn't help that he's seen the movie Evan Almighty). It was one of those moments that you always hear other moms and dads talking about, but haven't experienced yourself yet. Anyways, I don't think anyone heard him, of course I don't know how they couldn't, people were surrounding us. A moment as a parent I won't be forgetting any time soon!

New Year's Eve
Here's me and Dallas 12.31.07. Dallas loves his basketball jersey.
Dallas loves his Daddy.
Our 5th New Year's Eve together.
Eden and Dallas playing with sparklers.
Dallas and Eden eating dinner together. Whenever she comes over, I put his table in the kitchen and they eat together on it.
Eden and Dallas playing with his Christmas game, Elefun. What a cute game. It's getting later and we're all getting more sleepy!
Who's got your vote?
I was laughing at myself the other day, growing up, I hated talk radio. Now, those are the first stations I look for. Rarely do I listen to music, unless it's The Chipmunk Christmas or The Wiggles...haha. Who knew tonight that I'd look forward to watching "The New Hampshire Debates?!" What is it with age/maturity that people start having interest in these kinds of thing? With postive influence from Adam and from my own conviction, I've taken a huge interest in politics, and in voting for the candidate that I think that will not only honor the American people, but will also honor God. I really like Huckabee and hope he continues to do well..., but regardless of who your vote is for in the primary or for this fall, to all of you reading this, I really pray that you are following the candidates and their convictions and praying for our country for God's favor and mercy and guidance. Blessings for your New Year!
