Had to brag on my family

Last weekend, my cousin Joe from Deweyville TX, came to Tyler to run because he qualified in the 800 meter (2 laps around the track) and 1600 meter (1 mile) for regionals. He placed 1st in the 800 with a time of 1 min 59 sec and placed 2nd in the 1600 with a time of 4 min 39 sec. He qualified for state and is headed there in 2weeks. Way to go, Joe Joe!
Dallas was in complete awe of him as he raced around the track and hasn't been able to stop talking about him! He even colored a picture for him last night....oops...which reminds me I have to get that in mail to him!
Here are few pics of him from last Sat.

9. "Don't do that, turn around!"

8. "Do that again so I can take your picture."

7. "Back up, you might get hit by the ball."

6. "Hey, where's my glove?"

5. "You get what you get and you don't throw a fit."

4. "When's the first game, Coach?"

3. "That's my bat!"

2. "Run! No, no, the run OTHER way."

1. "Coach, can I win?!"

Dallas had his first t-ball practice on Tuesday night. He did great, and Adam and I were so proud of him! Here are few pictures

We're so proud of you D Bear!!!

Wanted to share that Dallas was nominated as one of ETCA's Heroes of Character for the 2008-09 school year.

Listen to what miss Bev Anne and Miss Carli (his teachers) had to say about Dallas. "We are so proud to have Dallas in our class. Dallas has been chosen because of his example of citizenship. Dallas is a natural leader; kids will follow his actions, his words, and his loving attitude. He has grown in his understanding of his role as a leader in our classroom. When asked how he wants to lead, he will stop and think and make a positive choice. We can always depend on Dallas to volunteer to help us or his friends. He has a good understand of God's love and his responsiblity to share that love. These wonderul qualities in Dallas are found in his parents. Their Godly example and daily instruction are evident in Dallas. We are thrilled to have Dallas in our class. He is a blessing to us all. We love you, Dallas!"

Here are a couple of pictures of Dallas and his principal as she read aloud to the entire chapel about his nomination. Go Dallas!!!!!!!!!!

A glimpse of heaven

This morning while cleaning I turned my praise music on as loud as it would go and put The Revelation Song on repeat. After about 45 minutes of listening to it, the thought came to me, this is what heaven will be like. Just praising God and being in complete peace. Wow!!! Thank you Lord God for this glimpse of your glory. What a day that will be!

A little bit of this and a little bit of that

Okay, so I've fallen off the blogging train B-I-G time! I'll definitely try to be more consistent!

I took off work today and tomorrow. Not really for any real reason other than I just needed to take some time off.
I've made a list of a few things I'd like to accomplish, but not necessarily in this order.

The Revelation Song

I love love this song!!!! Such a time of worship. We sang it in church on Sunday and it's been playing over and over in my head.

The Revelation Song by Kari Jobe

Worthy is the, Lamb who was slain
Holy, Holy, is He
Sing a new song, to him who sits on
Heaven's mercy seat
[2X]

Holy, Holy, Holy
Is the Lord God Almighty
Who was, and is, and is to come
With all creation I sing
Praise to the King of Kings
You are my everything
And I will adore You

Clothed in rainbows, of living color
Flashes of lightning, rolls of thunder
Blessing and honor, strength and glory and power be
to You the only wise King

Holy, Holy, Holy
Is the Lord God Almighty
Who was, and is, and is to come
With all creation I sing
Praise to the King of Kings
You are my everything
And I will adore You

Filled with wonder, awestruck wonder
At the mention of your name
Jesus your name is power
Breath, and living water
Such a marvelous mystery
Yeah...

Holy, Holy, Holy
Is the Lord God Almighty
Who was, and is, and is to come, yeah
With all creation I sing
Praise to the King of Kings
You are my everything
And I will adore You

Easter Egg Hunter

Sorry, I know a new post has been long overdue...

Yesterday we went to an ETMC (East Tx Med Center) Easter event. The hospital is great about providing family activities or discounted tickets to various events for employees and their families. Yesterday we went for an Easter Egg Hunt and various activities they had planned. We got to meet the Therapets, Dallas had fun on the bounce houses, got to sit in a helicopter, meet the Easter Bunny, and loaded up on some candy inside the easter eggs he found.

Therapet, these dogs were so sweet!

First time for Dallas to be in a helicopter

Waiting for the Easter Egg Hunt to begin

Friends are Like Family

Amanda called me on Friday and asked if it would be okay for Dallas to take some birthday pictures with her daughter Eden. Eden will be 6 in March. I was quite honored by the request so we met her at Sears on Sat. Here are their best shots and a couple of Eden too. Aren't they just darling????!!!

Amanda's idea for them to hold cupcakes, cute huh?

Praying together was Eden's idea. How much more precious can you get I ask?!

Private Practice

Well, I've started my private practice. It's been a busy 3 weeks, my friend's husband is a computer wiz and is building my website, I've ordered my business cards, found office space with another Christian counselor that I know from my church, and have 2 clients scheduled. I've met with a CPA to go over the do's and don'ts of private practice, working on marketing, and I'm joining a few associations.

I can't really say what's changed in the past 3 weeks, I mean I've always had a desire to do this. I feel in the deepest part of my being God has called me to this, and Adam's support has not waivered. The only thing I can say is that it is God's timing. I just finally came to the realization that God has given me a desire, he's equiped me, and now I'm trusting he'll provide. He's already opened the doors for me to do this in many ways, I'm trusing in faith that he'll continue to guide me and bless my efforts.

I'll keep everyone posted on this. Please pray for me
